Upon entering Azeroth for the first time, the fictional setting for World of WarCraft, the differences between Blizzard's massive multiplayer roleplaying game and the rest of the competition was abundantly clear. As I guided my female Night Elf Hunter through the initial steps, who did indeed get me mistaken quite often as a chick regardless of my speech, I witness some of the most impressive settings, gameplay structure, presentation and execution to date.

Most military-themed first-person shooters have the same kind of ultra-serious attitude, where soldiers charge into a war zone with a "win or die trying" mantra and shoot anything that moves. There's nothing wrong with that (as the superb Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare proves), but seeing something with a change of pace wouldn't be a bad thing for the worn-out genre. In this regard, Battlefield: Bad Company stands out from the pack, bringing lots of gun-toting excitement and cleverly ...

You may often hear people lament about the kinds of games coming out these days and how "they don't make 'em like they used to." Tell that to Bigbig Studios, makers of Pursuit Force for the PlayStation Portable. Apparently, the developers of this game never got tired of playing their favorite late-'80s arcade games, because Pursuit Force is practically a working tribute to the kinds of crazy-driving action games that ruled arcades during that era. Like some kind of unholy crossbreed ...

Chapter 1

US, November 5, 2007 - They say war is hell. Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare takes you to the very depths of Hades. The long-awaited COD4, IW's follow-up to the excellent Call of Duty 2, is a jarring, intense, and gripping take on war in the new millennia. The enemies are smarter, the weapons are deadlier, and the grenades all too plentiful. COD4 will shake loose your fillings and have you begging for more.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the most technically stunning video game ever made. It's also a fine example of storytelling prowess within its medium, combining gameplay and narrative so slickly and beautifully that it's impossible to extricate one from the other. It's likely you will emerge awestruck from your first play-through, wishing the experience would continue yet nonetheless satisfied with its conclusion. It's difficult not to sound hyperbolic when discussing MGS4 because ...

How do you follow up a runaway success like 2001's Grand Theft Auto III? Rockstar North responded a year later with GTA: Vice City, a game that took the gameplay of its predecessor and expanded it considerably. At the same time, Vice City gave the series an extensive and amazing stylistic makeover, drenching the experience in the sights, sounds, and attitude of Miami, Florida from the mid '80s. So where do you go from there? You take it statewide. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas ...

The way the players move, the improved graphics and the new person select system all helped it in every way.

So I bought Fifa 08 straight away without looking back and I have never regretted it. I go online on it all the time and I go on the season mode all the time.

It's true what they say about getting what you pay for. Well, at least some of the time. You can still download War Rock for free, much as you could when the online first-person shooter was in its official beta stages. As a free game, it's a serviceable Battlefield-series substitute with a surprisingly large community and enough decent qualities to make it worth the download. But in a retail package that costs money, its appeal spirals downward fast, thanks to its broken features, bland shooting ...

Well what can I say about this game, it is the best game I have ever played on, no joke.

To start off with I bought this game just out of general interest because I thought it may be a good game because of all the hype that it was being given in the media, as I had never played Halo 2 before, I did not know what to expect.

I plunged online first, went straight into the basic training where you face other people new to the game so that you don't have a disadvantage, i did fairly well ...

I played the demo of this game a while back, I was only using the pad at the time and so obviously wasn't getting the full experience of the game. But I thought the game was brilliant, the way you had to have good hand-eye co-ordination to play the song got me hooked.

Within a week I had bought the full game and the guitar, I loved it so much, I was on it 24-7 for a few days.

I thought the easy mode was a little to easy so I started on medium mode, I picked it up very well and soon ...

I bought Rock band with the drums as I already had a microphone and a guitar from playing guitar hero. I was expecting quite a lot to be honest after all the reviews I read and the game did not let me down.

First off I played a song on my guitar, i could instantly feel the power of the song and with all the good graphics of the game it made for a good blend, I loved it.

HIGHSCORE!!! 9.2 / 10

By now, you probably know how this works. The new Grand Theft Auto game comes out in October, but only on the PlayStation 2. Xbox and PC owners have to wait a half a year or so for their versions of the game, and each always has the potential to be better than the original release. That's saying something, because we're already talking about one of the best games of 2004 and the best game in the Grand Theft Auto series. Once again, the wait is over, and Grand Theft ...

Thanks to GameSpot Reviews...

We can't prove it, but we're pretty sure that the Twisted Metal series has had a lot to do with Sony's successes in video gaming. Specifically, the original car combat classic was one of the first great PlayStation games 10 years ago, and 2001's Twisted Metal: Black was one of the first, best showcases for the PlayStation 2. It's true that the series has had its ups and downs during the past decade, but it's back in top form again for the launch of Sony's latest ...
